At Thomas & Hurley, we do our best to work with supply partners that use materials for furniture and/or packaging that are as environmentally friendly as possible and sourced by sustainable means.
Our manufacturing facilities and global supply partners benefit from the experience and know-how we have gained over decades in the industry. As part of our commitment to the environment we carefully collaborate with supply partners that share in our vision for sustainably manufactured high quality products available at affordable prices.
Supply partners have joined programs that encourage replanting of plantations and to help stop the use of immature trees from deforestation. This helps to fight against illegal logging, trading and exportation, and assists in supporting both the wildlife and the environment.
Our internal operations also heavily focus on recycling and reducing our environmental impact. Where furniture blankets can be used, many of our items are unpacked or unboxed prior to dispatch to not only assist in quality control, but to allow for appropriate packaging to be locally recycled and hence reduce our overall environmental impact. This is a timely (and costly) exercise, but well worth it in the long run!
We are constantly stiving to find new initiatives to reduce waste in a sustainable manner that goes towards ensuring our company has as minimal impact on people and the environment as possible.
